I enjoy the smell of this sun screen. It is a daily use item for me so I don't know how it will hold up at the lake or pool. So creamy and nice. My only vice so for this item is the cap. An attached pump you don't have to twist would be great. I considered not purchasin again for this one reason. It is flimsy, is not attached well, and hard to know if it is open or closed...if it has not fallen off.I have a shelf of sunscreens. I am trying to find the perfect sunscreen for daily use on my face. I happen to be fair skinned, so if it happens to have a white cast, it isn't too noticeable. But still, I'd like to not even have to worry about it. I also would prefer not to use chemical sunscreens. I often use those on my body, but for my face which is more sensitive- the physical (mineral) sunscreens is better for me. There is NO white cast with this, so definitely fine for darker skin tones if you are looking for a physical sunscreen. This sunscreen is nice. I hot days or days I know where I will be sweating a bit, I don't bother with my expensive skin care routine, since I am likely to sweat it off. This sunscreen offers some skin care goodies above and beyond non nano zinc oxide. So I feel like I am still doing something for my skin, including moisturizing it. According to description, it has antioxidant super plants:--Juanilama: anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-oxidant (87% more than vitamin E) properties, and--Fierillo: anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, skin healing, and antioxidant properties;plus..--Wakame Kelp: reinforce skin defenses again environment, etc--Tazman Pepper: reduces skin inflammation and redness, and--Arabica coffee oil: lubricates skin. regenerates hydrolipid barrier to promote hydration and skin repairing.Smells energizing- like a punch of citrus fruit. It lingers for a little while then seems to dissipate. I can get it near my eyes and they don't get irritated. Kinda surprised it is a strong scent for something that is likely to go on the face.Bottles says no synthetic colors, fragrances or unhealthy ingredients. "Fragrance" is vague here, and although maybe not synthetic, it should be cleared up as to what it is.The company says in answering one of the questions that the fragrance comes from essential oils- if so, they should list the essential oils used. I imagine it is a citrus blend, but essential oils are different than just listing "fragrance". It would be helpful to see exact oils used. Then in another question answered, it was not mentioned that essential oils are used to create fragrance, but that it would be naturally occurring from some of the other ingredients. Which is it? If it is the latter, then the company would be doing themselves a favor by taking the word fragrance out of the ingredient list since not only would it be redundant to keep it in there it could scare off people who are avoiding "fragrance" as a listed ingredient. A product can have a scent due to other ingredients used that have a naturally occurring scent .. and and still be fragrance free. If it is a matter of it being from essential oils.. then that should be listed as well- for better or worse- but at least it is transparent information. Some people have strong reactions to essential oils on their face, whether from scent or from the activity they have. Some dont have reaction. Yet Some have strong reactions to "fragrance" as an added ingredient. Normally I see "fragrance" on a bottle and choose something else, as it typically depicts synthetic, and if it isn't synthetic then it doesn't need to be listed generically as fragrance, but instead specifically as to what the fragrance is derived from.Anyway, I thought I would add that as I am sure there will be potential customers looking at the ingredient list and this may help them one way or another. I hope this review has been helpful to you. If I learn anything new, I will be sure to come back to update. Take care all :)List of ingredients:Water, Coco-Caprylate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Glycerin, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lauryl Glucoside, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Phytic Acid, Arrabidaea Chica, Lippia Alba, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Ethyl Macadamiate, Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, EthylhexylglycerinIt goes on smoothly. I use it on my neck as well as my face. Mineral sunscreens in general are difficult to apply, but this one is not. I used my first bottle daily for 3-4 mos, and was impressed by how long it lasted. I’m very fair, and so far I’m Impressed. I told my dermatologist about it, and she was going to recommend it to her patients.I wish it had a s lightly higher SPF, but otherwise, very happy with the product.I live in Hawaii and am fair skinned, so I've tried all manner of creams and lotions promising sun protection. After using this one for about six months, I can say that it does the job, although it is a bit pricey. What I like most about it -- besides the fact that it's an effective sunscreen -- is that it blends in well and very quickly. Some reviewers said that they found it tended to pill or peel off. I didn't experience that at all, though it does feel kind of dry somehow. It's not that it's drying out my skin, just that the lotion itself feels kind of dry as I rub it on, unlike other sunscreens I use that have a softer, creamier feel. It's not a bad thing, just an oddity that I've noticed. While some other sunscreens in my bathroom have a smoother feel, they don't work as well against the sun as this one does. If I have to choose, I'll go for the sun protection every time. Besides, once I've rubbed this into my skin, the dry sensation quickly disappears, and I forget I'm wearing it.Another great thing about it is that it doesn't hurt when it gets into my eyes -- that's if it gets into my eyes at all. For example, if I'm out biking and get sweaty, some sunscreens will tend to trickle into my eyes, which is really annoying. But I don't feel that at all with this one. I may well be sweating it off with effort -- that's natural -- but I don't feel it running into my eyes nor do I see it smeared onto my clothing. The biggest downside for me is price. This stuff isn't cheap. To be fair, many quality sunscreens of this type (meaning both for level of protection and the type of ingredients used) cost rather more than what you might typically buy at the drugstore. Given the results, I'd say the price is probably fair, even having gone up a few dollars since I last bought it, but it does strain my budget a bit so I have to alternate it with a lower cost sunscreen that tends to leave a white residue.Given that the pandemic is still on, I haven't worn makeup very often with this, but it worked well on the few times that I have. And this sunscreen seems to have no smell to it, which I quite like. I often tend to use moisturizer with it. I've tried different types, but they all seem to work well with the sunscreen.Again, this is not a bargain basement brand, but that's not the niche this company is trying to fill. Given the performance, I think the cost is justified. Sunscreen is one of those things you just have to try to see how it works with your skin, but this has worked well for me and I plan to buy it again as my budget allows. This is the best mineral sunscreen I've tried for dark skin. No white cast. The chemical sunscreens also don't give a white cast, but I think the mineral sunscreens are probably healthier to put on your skin. I'm a fan.I like thus sunscreen. At first seems that it covers your face white, but it’s really disappearing while you spread it all over the face.My skin is dry so I like when it looks a bit shiny or glowing. This cream gives me that appearance. And the volume is huge. It lasted the whole summer and still a lit of left.Highly recommendI work outside all day in the heat. It was 108 out that day. Did I ever pay the price for trying a new sunblock My eyes burnt so bad all day once I started to sweat. I've never experienced this with the sunblock I currently useThe sunblock had a weird feel almost like you have fine sand or dirt on your face that never comes off.I Could not wait to get home to wash it off. I would not recommend for anyone that works outside.Good product. No white cast and greasiness. Good feel on the skin. Only thing to improve is the applicator pump - it doesn't dispense the product well.
